Your Role in Supporting a KinFirst Approach (KIN400-e)

Description

In your role, you deal with families, young people, and children every day. Some families are large and others are small. Some young people and children have one or more engaged parents and others carry the weight of uncertainty – of homes that have changed overnight, of parents who are absent, and of relatives or other trusted adults stepping in to help.

What steps can you take to help families, young people, and children that need a little extra support?

This elearning course will explain the importance of family connections and the benefits to young people and children when they are able to stay connected with their family, community, and culture. Additionally, it will present strategies and tools to help you integrate a KinFirst approach into your role.
